Jonathan Brice, Ed.D.
Founder and President
Dr. Jonathan T. Brice is the Founder and President of Pathways for the Future, Inc., an organization committed to creating meaningful opportunities for young people through sports, recreation, career exploration, leadership development, and workforce experiences.
He brings more than 30 years of experience in education, youth development, organizational leadership, and community engagement. His career has included service as a teacher, school administrator, district executive, superintendent of schools, Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Education, educational consultant, and leadership coach.
Dr. Brice founded Pathways for the Future with a simple belief: young people need opportunities to discover what they can do, develop practical skills, and see possibilities for their future. Pathways uses sports and recreation as a vehicle for building confidence, responsibility, communication, teamwork, leadership, and career readiness.
Under his leadership, Pathways has developed and delivered youth sports officiating, flag football, afterschool recreation, summer camps, and sports career exploration programs. The organization has provided officiating services for hundreds of youth games and has partnered with recreation organizations to create engaging experiences for children, teens, and families.
A major focus of Pathways is introducing young people to the many careers that exist beyond being an athlete. Through camps, workshops, recreation programs, and hands-on experiences, participants explore opportunities in officiating, coaching, sports management, broadcasting, technology, marketing, communications, event operations, and other sports-related careers. Dr. Brice earned graduate degrees from the Harvard University, including a Master of Education and Doctorate in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to helping organizations create environments where young people are challenged, supported, and provided opportunities to succeed. Through Pathways for the Future, Dr. Brice is combining his experience in education, leadership, youth development, and sports to help young people build skills today while discovering pathways for tomorrow. Our goal is bigger than the game. We use sports and recreation to help young people discover their potential, develop leadership skills, and prepare for their future.
