The sports world encompasses many career pathways including officiating, coaching, business, marketing, nutrition & health, sports performance, turf management, STEM (science-technology-engineering), facilities, communication & public relations, and statistician & scoreboard operations construction.

Jonathan Brice, Ed.D.
President and Founder, Pathways For the Future
Dr. Jonathan Brice has spent over 30 years as a teacher, athletic coach, school and district administrator, school superintendent, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary, and leadership consultant. He holds multiple degrees including a Master’s and Doctorate from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
Jonathan was a high school football co-captain and scholar athlete. As a teacher he became a Football, Softball, and Track & Field coach. He also supervised athletics when serving as the Executive Director of Student Services in the Baltimore City Public Schools.
One thing has stood out during Dr. Brice's career, the need to engage young people in diverse career fields that choose not one's chosen for them. This led me to create Pathways for the Future.
Pathways for the Future has three goals: 1. Train-assign-supervise young adults as sports officials. 2. Lead Summer leadership camps to build teenager capacity for leadership through sports officiating.3. Establish sports career summer camps for high school and early college students in Washington, DC (DMV); Chicago, Illinois; and Atlanta, Georgia in partnership with area colleges and professional sports teams.
